Common questions

How do I play?

Place one donut in every coloured area. No two may share a row or a column, and no two may touch — not even at a corner. Tap a square to cross it out, press and slide to cross out a run, double-tap to place a donut.

Do I ever have to guess?

No. Every board has exactly one answer and every one can be reached by reasoning. Boards are checked by our own solver before they ship.

How do hints work?

A hint highlights one square that holds a donut. You still place it. Hints come from the daily box — solve it and you earn one.

How do I play against a friend?

You both need the app open on “Play a friend”, on the same Wi-Fi or with Bluetooth on, and both need to allow the local network prompt. The phones find each other in a few seconds. There is no server and no account — it will not work between two phones in different places.

I lost my progress

Progress lives on the device and is not backed up to us, because nothing is ever sent to us. Deleting the app deletes it.
